An enjoyable hobby and an appreciation of nature.  Working to combine the two is both a challenge and rather gratifying.  I enjoy the process of taking a vision to figuring out how to make it happen with the different species of wood and tools available. 

• I grew up on a small farm in Harrisburg, Oregon 

• Learned woodworking in high school 

• 20 year career in the Air Force after graduating from Oregon State University

• Started woodworking again while in the Air Force 

• Got a teaching degree and taught high school woodworking and a bit of science 

• Hobbies: camping, mountain bikes, sailing, woodworking, hiking 

• Trivia – I invented / patented what I call the Tree Cot.  I haven't made much money on it (yet?), but it was fun making.
